1) Save your poster as pdf using this format:  LastName_Division Category_UB School.pdf (e.g. Demers_Undergraduate_School of Engineering.pdf). The maximum file size is 2 MB. Be sure to compress the PDF file before uploading it. Use any web browser to search for “compress PDF free” and choose that tool to compress the file.


2) Delete the instructions page (second page) of the template.

UB RISE POSTER DEADLINES:

**Student posters (and videos, if applicable) – with faculty poster advisor approval – are due on Monday, March 17 by 10 PM EST.**

**Faculty/staff posters (and videos, if applicable) are due by Friday, March 21 by 5 PM EST.**

Posters will not be accepted after these dates and times.

UB RISE 2025 NEW POSTER CATEGORIES

Thanks to our generous donors, students have the opportunity to submit a poster that will also be considered for additional recognition and prizes:

Climate Innovation Award

In the Doctoral, Masters, Undergraduate and High School categories, (1) poster in each category is eligible to win an award for addressing how their research, innovative idea, scholarship or entrepreneurial project will address global warming, spur others into action, and/or encourage the public to support climate cooling initiatives. The intent is that student from any discipline may submit an impactful entry. Posters will be judged by a panel moderated by Mike Roer (’08), President of Entrepreneurship Foundation, Inc. A poster and video are required.

Optimizing Business Profitability Through the Use of Artificial Intelligence Award

There will be three winners, each receiving $100, for the most innovative ideas and best poster presentations on the topic. Posters will be judged and prizes will be awarded by Dr. Shannon Hashemi, CMA and Dr. Al Daneshfar, CMA, owners of Tradewinds Shopping Center in Middletown. A poster and video are required.

 Quantum Computing Applications Award

A student is eligible to win an award for addressing the topic. Posters will be judged by Dr. Khaled Elleithy, Dean of the College of Engineering, Business and Education. A poster and video are required.

UB Business Plan Competition

This is open to all current students at the University of Bridgeport. This competition provides an opportunity for students to showcase innovative business ideas, gain valuable feedback, and compete for prizes.
